Elliott began serving at First Presbyterian Church in March of 2009. He directs the 9:00 a.m. traditional service's choir, the 11:00 a.m. contemporary service's praise band, the bell choir, and the handbell quartet. He also works as a choir accompanist and assistant marching band director at Grand Island Senior High. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association.

Elliott graduated from Hastings College with a degree in Music Composition and Technology. He loves to play piano, saxophone, trombone, drums, guitar, bass, and mandolin. He composes and arranges sacred music, show choir shows, instrumental ensembles, handbell pieces, contemporary a cappella groups, and others. He grew up Presbyterian in La Vista, NE. For fun, Elliott loves to collect and play designer, family-style, and Euro-strategy board games and card games. He promises it's not as intimidating as it sounds.

Ruth received her master of music in piano performance from Southern Methodist University. She is an associate professor of music at Hastings College .

Ruth serves as a collaborative artist for numerous guest recitals and is an active performer, clinician, and adjudicator throughout the region. She received the Hastings College Faculty Achievement Award for Outstanding Teaching in 1997 and the Nebraska Music Teachers Association’s Service Award in 2002.
